Le voyage – This short love story
The seas have calmed down after the stormy night. The waves have bid the sand back ashore. Direct sunlight has risen with virtually no struggle; the fear from the unknown has walked after dawn.
She walks slowly with your ex hair swiftly swaying with all the cool cherry filled scent breeze marking the beginning of summer. She feels as light like a ball of cotton dancing in the midst of wilderness. A voice inside her heart is leading her towards the same spot from the beach where she thought she would never set her feet again; these days is the day, she knows it. She believes she’s ready, ready to face the past that slammed the threshold of a starry future, a potential she thought was the realization of her dream from a not so distant present.
She stops where two gigantic beach stones are firmly set. She closes her eyes as when the sun actually starts to rush below a layer of clouds signaling the nearing twilight.
“Find me whenever you can!” Those were the past words she been told by Brei, the only man whom she ever loved. These people were high school sweethearts. Brei was the only man she thought may make funny faces yet still looked so dashingly handsome. There was clearly days he would mimic what he called, a sick monkey after loads of bananas, a dehydrated fish, a starving crocodile…..as well as the list goes on.
It was also the beginning of summer. That it was their first summer break on their own first year in a university. They were both taking up Political Science; a plan they believed was the most beneficial to prepare them for just a Law degree. They both wanted to become lawyers after their respective fathers. She and Brei were rich in dreams, prepared to defy what will be world wrongly delivers for many years.
The sun was just intending to set when she and Brei decided to go by the beach after having a short exchange of stories they’ve got recently read. They were running and laughing, chasing one as they walked toward the beach until they reached your website where the two distinct rocks rest. This type of water was high tomorrow, the waves were restless, although the two young lovers didn’t mind the fact that was going on around them. They simply wanted to enjoy the priceless attractiveness of the world going by.
The time seemed endless. The angels in heaven could hear their laughter and were enticed to try out as well. It was Brei’s choose hide. She closed her eyes and started counting,” one two, three, hide quick with the goddess will turn you to definitely stone once she catches you amiss!”
“Brei….yahoo! I’m coming! Her voice began to tremble after a few minutes of desperation because of not being able to find Brei. Little bit became an hour… plus much more hours… Playful shouts had become screams till the screams became sobs, sobs that then became a total silence. She cannot remember how she got in to her parents’ house as well as the rest. She heard screams of deep pain, sobs rooted from your heart, but she cannot tell where these people were coming from, Brei was gone, and he or she never saw him again. Her heart was looking for answers, but her questions remained unanswered and got washed away by the furious waves.
She knows deep in the heart that today is the time to let go. Permit the pain from the past be cast away; to advance on to a place she believes could make her whole again, into a place where in time she could see Brei again; to a place where she could fool around with the angels who dealt with her and Brei on that fateful day. An area where there’s no room for sorrow.
Brei is waiting the shore, flowers on his hand. “I adore you, goodbye and till we meet again…”
It’s been a year since his beloved was washed away with the rushing torrent of waves. We were holding playing hide and seek and then he hid hastily behind a dilapidated hut near the beach; he didn’t realise that his ladylove would go and look for him behind the “couple rocks”, both the rocks firmly seated about the deeper part of the sea. He thought he been hiding such a long time that he emerged himself only to find that there’s no one hunting for him anymore. Everything started ideal but ended a nightmare. She’s gone, gone forever, gone with the waves on that unforgettable day.
Brei throws the flowers with the expectation that she will get them through the angels that played with them on that day. “Goodbye my love…I love you forever and beyond…” Brei turns his back and sets out to walk by the beach towards his home. They know he has to go on, to follow along with “their dreams,” simply to walk the road for a journey, the journey that he now has to complete on his own.
